Call the central station at 1-800-639-2066 and tell them you'd like to "Cancel an Alarm Dispatch". They will confirm your street address, name and passcode, then cancel the authorities (Police, Fire or Medical). Please note that if the authorities have already been called, they will be contacted again and advised of an accidental alarm but may still decide to come out on site.
Your battery backup will automatically kick in and prevent the system from powering down; allowing the system to operate normally. The battery backup will last anywhere from 8 to 24 hours depending on size of the system and the age of the battery. During the power outage, you may notice a trouble indicator on your keypad showing "AC Loss" and/or "Low Battery". Once power is restored, the battery will begin to recharge itself and both troubles should clear automatically within 24 hours.
Your keypad will indicate a "Phone Line Trouble" and start beeping to bring this to your attention. If you do not have a backup communicator such as an Internet or Cellular communicator, your system will not be able to send any signals to the central station. Eventually your system will fail to send its weekly or daily test signal, and we will contact you for further troubleshooting. If you have a backup communicator, your system will be able to send signals with no interruption. (Please contact us for more information on adding a backup communicator to your existing system or to be monitored for daily test signals instead of weekly)
Your system is constantly monitoring itself to be sure that every part is working correctly. Your keypad is beeping because the system has discovered that something is wrong; a "Trouble". Most troubles are caused by loss of phone line, loss of power or a low battery. For self-help, please refer to your system manual or simply contact customer service for immediate help.
Check to be sure that all exterior doors are firmly closed. If there is a motion detector in the area of your keypad, stand still for about 10 seconds and then try again. Make sure you are entering a valid user code; if you're uncertain of what you've already entered into the keypad, press the cancel/clear key to reset and then try again. If you still can't arm the system, please contact customer service for immediate help.

No. Your alarm system can also communicate through the internet or over a cellular network. The most reliable configuration is to use a phone line dialer as the primary communicator with a cellular radio as a backup.
Yes and No. While your system is able to communicate through a VoIP line, it may not be as reliable since there is an additional layer of equipment between your alarm system and the central station. A standard phone line is always more reliable than a VoIP line.
A signal is sent through every available communicator you have (Phone Line, Internet and/or Cellular). Our central station receives this signal and acts in accordance to how the account was set up. In the most common scenario, the operator will contact the premises first to give a chance to cancel an accidental alarm. Should someone answer this call, they would need to provide a valid passcode to cancel the alarm. If no one answers or a valid passcode is not provided, the operator will then dispatch the appropriate authorities (Fire, Police, Medical). The operator will then call everyone on your call list until someone agrees to respond to the alarm. (For example, meet the police on site). We have complete flexibility to respond differently to different alarms to meet your needs.
We accept checks, bank transfers, all major credit cards and PayPal. Monitoring fees can be paid annually or monthly.

Your system sends a test signal every week to check in and let us know that it's still communicating (You can also upgrade to a daily test signal). Additionally, a signal will be sent if any part of the system has gone into trouble (For Example: Power Loss, Low Batteries, Faults etc…). We look for these tests and troubles every business day and will contact you immediately if anything needs to be addressed. You can also call customer service during normal business hours to test your system.
A full test and inspection of your system including battery replacements and cleaning smoke detectors. This is recommended every 1 to 2 years. Please contact customer service to schedule maintenance.
Wireless devices that utilize AA, AAA, or 9V batteries typically last about 1 year. Wireless devices that utilize Lithium batteries typically last 2 – 3 years.
